A Message from the Director to Future Colleagues

Pioneering Cutting-edge Research – Your Strength Moves the Future Forward

The Tsukuba Institute for Advanced Research is a research organization led by researchers, for the benefit of researchers and society. Colleagues from diverse backgrounds and fields leverage their expertise in their respective positions to support research activities. Research is driven forward through the support of technical and administrative staff, management, and, of course, researchers. Flexible thinking and unwavering support, as well as a results-driven team, are indispensable in a cutting-edge research facility. Day-to-day, everyone’s knowledge and experiences form a network of support to help each individual overcome challenges, which ultimately contributes to society’s future. This sense of purpose is what makes working here so rewarding. A diverse array of knowledge and skills converges to pave the way for possibilities that are yet unforeseen. I wholeheartedly wish that we may come together to take on those challenges.

– Akiyoshi Fukamizu,
Director, Office for Strategy Promotion, Tsukuba Institute for Advanced Research
