Probing the Origins of the Universe through Cutting-Edge Astronomical Observations
I study the formation of galaxies and black holes in the early Universe through astronomical observations with the world’s most advanced telescopes.
My current research combines observations from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) and the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA), while also looking ahead to the scientific opportunities offered by a next-generation telescope planned for Antarctica under the leadership of the University of Tsukuba.
Through these facilities, I aim to reveal how the earliest cosmic structures formed and evolved into the Universe we observe today.
Uncovering the history of the Universe is also a challenge to address one of humanity’s most fundamental questions: “Where do we come from?” By combining cutting-edge observational techniques with international collaborations, I hope to contribute to a new understanding of our cosmic origins.
