Tracing the Course of Climate Under an Ever-changing Sky
I was born and raised in Northern China, where the climate is generally cool and comfortable. When I moved to Southern China for university, I was struck by how humid and hot the weather could be. Over the years, I’ve witnessed how summers have become increasingly intense, with more frequent and extreme weather events such as tropical cyclones and wildfires, clear signs of human-induced climate change. These experiences led me to ask two fundamental questions: Can human society remain sustainable under future climate change? How should we mitigate and adapt to its impacts? In the coming years, I aim to explore and help answer these critical questions through research and collaboration.
